You don't have to know anything about the history or technology of mechs in order to play and enjoy MechAssault. If you've never heard of Battletech, never played any Mech games before, and don't know a thing about these big bad machines, don't worry. MechAssault is a pure action game with little need to worry over technical matters.

While it has many elements of the MechWarrior universe, it plays nothing like its PC cousin. And it seems every launch there's one title that stands out from the rest. Those first few launch games often become benchmarks for judging later product. Good games give the new system instant credibility. Just as significant as a console's launch titles, the Xbox Live launch list is vital to its success.
Not only is it the heavyweight console's first anniversary, it also marks the launch of Xbox Live, Microsoft's online service. November 15 marks a distinct new era for Xbox.
